Changeover Systems

Although changeover days happen regularly, rarely are any two the same. There’s usually some problem that you’re faced with. So you need streamlined systems in place to handle the routine, to free up time for you or your housekeeper to deal with those issues that you could not plan for.

Create your own regular systems for:

1) Laundry- know each time who strips the beds, who washes it, who irons it who returns it. Where is spare laundry kept?

2) Key access – is this in person, via a management agency, via a key box safe. How do you communicate this to guests, what happens if the guest arrives late?

3) Cleaning – use a checklist to avoid anything being missed.

4) Welcome gifts – who shops for these items, who makes them, who delivers them to your holiday rental?

5) Restocking supplies – is there a lockable cupboard onsite for such supplies to be stored in? Who has access to this and who restocks this cupboard? How often?
