By Alan Egan

In a world of multi-media and social media it helps to be media savvy and sociable.

The big players within the vacation rental listing sites are now offering space to upload more and more images.

So, here’s todays tip,  add a smiling photo of yourself / yourselves, preferably outside your holiday home.

The two photos above right come from wonderfulland.com one of the best bed and breakfast sites on the web (check it out for inspiration, it’s jam packed with great photography). Each BnB is augmented with a photo of the owners (plus a short bio) and this adds a very nice aspect to the site – it’s just more personal.

It always helps to put a face to a name.

If potential guests can put a face to the owners of their preferred vacation home, they will be further at ease when communicating with them and that feeling of extra comfort may well swing the balance of a booking in your favour.

After all we now live in a world of social media and being sociable never hurt anyone.
