Here we have highlighted what has been added during this simple makeover. We have just added a variety of small items that add a touch of warmth, detail and, more importantly, show the room to look almost occupied.

As you can see these add foreground and form as well as colour…

Adding a few well placed props can have a huge impact on booking rates. Try it and see.

It’s the little touches that set you apart from the crowd and a few added touches to your bedroom shots can and does work wonders for conversions.

Before you start, turn on all the lights, ceiling, wall and bedside lamps. This is crucial for light, bright results.

Place a bottle of mineral water and a glass on each bedside table, add a (colourful) paperback book or magazine. If you have room add a vase with fresh (colourful) flowers or high quality artificial ones.  Maybe make up a breakfast tray, as shown above, and place it on one of the beds.

Your resulting images will look more appealing, they will project a more “occupied”, tempting, feel.

Bear in mind that your bedroom images need to be colourful too. I often add colourful throws and cushions to boost colour levels and attract the viewers eye. (see real life sections of this guide)
